Agape in Action
Father's House

Father’s House is a living expression of the Agape message Lifechangers is stewarding.

We are inviting orphans into the love and security of a real family where they can receive physical, spiritual, and emotional healing. Each child is given an opportunity to regain an identity as a son or daughter and brother or sister. The supportive environment of Father’s House enables these “sons and daughters” to enjoy their childhood in peace and security. And as Father miraculously resuscitates their spirits, we begin imparting to them the ways of the kingdom of God, filling in the gaps of their education, and teaching them relational skills. In time their God given gifts emerge in the most amazing ways.

Father is empowering us to love these children as if they had come from our own bodies. Father’s House is not really humanitarian work; it is an advanced form of worship. Allowing the Father to love His kids through us is “scratching Him where He itches!” God’s fatherhood to the fatherless is at the core of His Person. We have never experienced such a forceful extravagant love!

Jesus intended His church to be inhabited by all His kids as a family. His altar was not intended as a stoic, formal place for a weekly visit, rather as a “nest!” It is not to be a hallowed, hushed forum of professionally preserved traditions, but a nursery school bursting with kids of all ages noisily participating, practicing, and feeling its’ ok to make messy mistakes. His altar should be a familial hub of life, not just a place of meetings. Jesus’ blueprints never included a complex, man-made organization of systems and programs, rather an organic, childlike family who finds oneness and life together in their Father, inhabiting His altar.

How lovely are Thy dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. The bird also has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even Thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. How blessed are those who dwell in Thy house! (Luke 13:9).

Birds represent people, i.e. “birds” nest in the branches of the tree of the kingdom. Father has not choosen for us to build a traditional church plant, but a nest in His altar for broken “birds.” We are worshipping Him, living everyday life right in His presence. Our “cup” of His grace and mercy runs over on the community. This is not a para-church ministry; we are His body, His church, the simple light of His kingdom to which ordinary people feel drawn! The Bible teaches that we are all orphans waiting to be adopted through Jesus into Father’s nest.
