In May 2010 a medical team will travel to Uganda. The trip dates are May 15th-29th. We plan to do 6 outreach days in the slums of Kampala. Tickets to go to the clinic will be given to patients that have needs that exceed the capabilities of the medicine that we are able to carry from house to house. We will also provide community health education based on our observations of the needs in the slums
In addition to the slums, we plan to return to the fishing village that we cared for in January, 2009 (to see more information about past trips click on the link below).

During our trip, we plan to go to the Queen Victoria National Park in southern Uganda for a short safari trip.
Last year we distributed over $50,000 U.S. dollars of medication. This year we will be purchasing the same amount of medications in Uganda for under $4,000 U.S dollars.
The plane ticket for each team member is around $1800. Each person will also need $500 for expenses while in Uganda. The total amount for each person will be around $2300.
